"The Belly Dance Variety Show" Photos

In association with the MEDANZ Christchurch mini-Festival, Christchurch belly dancers put on a show for the public - with a theme of - Variety.

• There was a variety of belly dance schools represented
• Atlas (Blenheim)
• Belly Raqs with Kashmir - and Kashmir
• Desert Veils - and Farida
• Dori
• El Yasmine Bellydance School
• Jen (Wellington)
• Pip E-Lysaah
• TribalDiva Belly Dance (replacing the defunct School of Contemporary Belly Dance)
• Zumarrad
• There was a variety a variety of belly dance styles represented including Orientale (stereotypical "belly dance"), Folk (drawing from the people of the Middle East) and Tribal (both ATS and fusion)
• There was a variety of dance experience on show from students of a few years to professional dancers
